Job Description

We have a National Account looking for a Quality Technician.  Great Company with room for growth.  1st Shift Hours, Climate Control Environment with a great team.  

Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the Quality Technician performs functions associated with daily operations including, but not limited to, inspection of incoming parts and components, using drawings and product specifications, verification of rework performed by others, and maintaining and distributing various reports. Additionally, this role may perform audits of production processes to gauge actual performance to standard and train as a backup to other Quality related positions as part of the department’s cross-training efforts.  This position interacts closely with the Quality and Engineering teams and requires the use of sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate data.  This role will also assist in the assessment and documented results of quality assurance and control processes. 

As  As the Quality Tech, you will perform incoming inspection of parts and components, creates incoming inspection reports, based on inspection results.  You will maintain quality records and documents verifying conformance to specifications,        Perform internal process audits and make suggestions on how to improve, operate lab equipment like calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc. You will be asked to perform other duties related to Quality as requested in accordance with the Cross-Training plan for the department.

Job Requirements

  • Proficiency in  in Microsoft Suite - specifically Word, Excel and Access
  • Educated in reading and interrupting drawings/blueprints and using test equipment like micrometers, gauges, and calipers, etc. 
  • Experience with ISO 9001 required
  • Basic math, good communication skills and attention to detail is needed for success in this role
  • Problem Solving experience
  • Safety minded, reliable, precise and self-motivated personality required. 
  • Ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of related working experience
  • Associates Degree Required - or Military Training - experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
