Job Description

Marketing & Sales Administrator is responsible for understanding, developing and maintaining marketing and sales programs and activities in a business-to-business environment and for the oversight of the inside sales team. Position reports to the VP of Marketing & Sales. Job involves some travel. Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

Key & strategic customer management

• Maintain harmony between customer requirements/specs and internal data and procedures

• Lead on Customer Relationship Management program and database

Business development (customer pre-qualification requirements, audits AVL’s etc.)

Price List administration including disseminating policies & procedures

Distributor & Rep Communications

• Maintain agreements and contact management

• Manage pricing notification, memos & catalog updates

• Schedule & moderate webinars as required

Key Performance Index (KPI) maintenance for Sales & Marketing team

Oversee the Industrial Customer Service Representatives’ (CSR’s) activities

• Review and coordinate responses to web & customer inquiries by the CSR’s

Sample request, production & tracking management

Participate in the “visioning” of future business scope and product offerings


Branding & creative marketing

• Coordination of all sales & marketing collateral

• Develop and disseminate catalogs, presentations, & brochures

Website management

• Content creation and management of “interactive” website & distributor & customer portals including blogs, newsletters & articles

• Development of “e-commerce” capability on current website platform

• Search Engine Optimization (SEO) management to increase traffic to the website

• Website update & maintenance using Content Management Systems (CMS) – WORDPRESS

• Social media marketing management Advertising

• Development and production of creative digital advertising for Airborne & Industrial product lines for electronic, print and video media

• Manage Google ADWORD and similar campaigns Trade Show Administration

• Recommendations (shows, booth, themes)

• Registration & booth coordination

• Marketing collateral (samples, literature, hand-outs, giveaways) Communications with Distributors, Sales & Key Customers Product release Campaigns Product market research and analysis Engineering Support

Project management

• Participate in Engineering meetings

• Project management status updates

• Dissemination of program successes to sales organization

Job Requirements

• Applicant must be ITAR compliant;

• 4-year degree (Business management, Marketing, Communications or equivalent)

• 4 years marketing & sales related experience

• Strong organizational and customer service skills

• Excellent communication skills, including writing and presenting product and service information to engineers, customers and operators

• US passport and occasional domestic and international travel

• Proficient in the use of business software – EXCEL, WORD, Adobe InDesign, VISIO and PowerPoint, Photoshop and Illustrator a plus

• Proficient in the use of WORDPRESS CMS software

• Knowledge of electro-mechanical products or sensors (a plus)

• Proficiency in a foreign language (a plus)
