Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator will direct and coordinate program activities designed to provide subcontractors, management, and customers with logistics technology that ensures effective and economical support concerned for manufacturing or servicing of product, system, or equipment by performing  the following duties: 

  • Analyzes contractual commitments, customer specificatins, design changes, and other data to plan and develop logistic program activities from conceptualstage through life cycle of product. 
  • Develops and implements program activities, coordinated efforts of subcontractors, productiondepartments, and field service personnel, and resolves problems in area of logistics to ensure meeting of contractual commitments. 
  • Develops and initiates preparation of handbooks, bulletins, and information systems to provide and supply logiscs support.
  • Compiles data on  standardization and interchangeability of parts to expedite logistics activities, operational area, and other factors, such a enviornmental and human factors affecting personnel. 
  • Performsspecial research or technical studies critical to logistic support functions. 
  • Utilizes computer techniques for analysis, simulation or information system and documentation.   

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) or 1 - 3 years related experience
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing Software.
