Excellent full time, temp to hire opportunity for a stable, national company in Swedesboro, NJ.  High energy, dynamic Production Supervisor needed for 3rd shift production work, overseeing 30-40 people daily. Company is the leading tester for cable boxes and modems/telecommunications equipment. 
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 11:00pm-7:00am, with some flexibility.  

Compensation: $18-$20/hr to start, with opportunity for salary and raise when hired

Title: Production Supervisor                                                                    

Reports to: Sr. Operations Manager


1.     Responsible in overseeing production to support all current business and to support new business as it comes in.

2.     Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.

3.     Assist in establishing departmental policies, goals, objectives, procedures and manage daily operations.  Plan and track productivity and quality to support customers’ requirement and drive for improvement.

4.     Determine staffing requirements and interview, hire and train new employees or oversee those processes.

5.     Ensure customer requirements and expectations have been accurately identified and that the organization is meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

6.     Interact with customers’ technical and test engineers to understand technical requirements to help our team with test, repair, debug or new products transfers.

7.     Monitor the performance of quality, measuring against set standards.

8.     Makes recommendations to improve the productivity, quality, and efficient delivery of products and services within the operation.

9.     Research new and alternative methods of efficiency.

10.  Direct and coordinate activities of businesses or departments concerned with the production, pricing, sales, and/or distribution of products and support technical/labor quoting for new business.

11.  Assist in planning and directing operational budgets, goals, staffing and operational objectives.

12.  Oversee inventory in production and coordinate with Materials Manager to support any logistics service as required.

13.  Work with materials/purchasing staff to comply with the establish quality requirements defined by the Company and external suppliers.

14.  Monitor standards for quality as well as health and safety.

15.  Ensure manufacturing and production processes meet international and national standards.

16.  Look for ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency.

17.  Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures.

18.  Collate and analyze performance data against defined parameters.  Review and implement technical and management system reports as required.

19.  Comply with agency, customer and corporate guidelines and procedures.

20.  Perform additional duties as assigned.


Daily production floor work environment, with industry leading test equipment.

Job Requirements

  1. Education: BA or BS required.

B.    Experience:  Must have minimum 2+ year’s operations, production and quality management or related experience.  Must have planning, project coordination, production planning, organizational and leadership skills. Should have established excellent communication skills at all levels, have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, hardworking, be a team player and able to work in a team environment.

Must have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written


Must have strong math skills.


Must be skilled in analytical problem solving.


Ability to lift 25lbs and walk production floor as needed


Working knowledge of Safety Compliance (OSHA, and state and local agencies) & ISO 9001
