Soldering Technician

Weekend Shift- Fri, Sat, and Sun, 6am-6pm


Work for 36 hrs, Get paid for 40!
Technician: $17-$19/hr
FT, temp to hire


Job Purpose


Solder, rework and clean efficient and reliable PCBAs without defect to the client specifications



Nature of Duties


  • Use microscope and soldering equipment to add/remove electrical components on printed circuit boards

  • Experience with Non-RoHs soldering, localized cleaning of circuit board and rework area  using manual cleaning techniques

  • Inspection of work per IPC Standards and required customer specification

  • Adhere to company practices regarding safety and control of electrostatic discharge (ESD)

  • Work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations.

  • Must be able to read and interpret work instructions, schematics, drawings and Engineering Change Orders.

  • Complete rework on assemblies to meet daily assigned output

  • Participate in the continuous Improvement Quality process (i.e. Lean Mfg, Six Sigma, ISO 13485)

  • Effectively use verbal and written communication skills.

Job Requirements

  • IPC Certification a plus

  • Ability to inspect PCBA workmanship and components using IPC standards

  • 2-4 years of related experience SMT and PTH soldering, removal and placement of components 

  • Familiar with soldering tips, de-soldering guns, solder wire, and solder chemicals

  • Advance solder repair a plus such as wire add experience, Pad repair, board circuit repair

  • Able to work in a team environment toward the goals set forth by supervisors/managers

  • Able to successfully read and interpret work instructions, schematics, drawings and Engineering

  • Apply acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.

  • Must have substantial understanding of the job and apply that knowledge and skill in a wide range of tasks

  • Must have attention to detail and superb documentation abilities

  • Ability to work with minimal instruction on daily tasks and requires only general instructions on newly introduced assignments

  • Able to use necessary equipment to perform rework on defective components

  • Physically able to lift 25 pounds several times a day
