Job Description

The Document Controller will control internal and external documentation, andassist all Engineering departments as needed.   This position will strictlyfollow established procedures and policies needed to meet the demands of thecompany.  The Document Controller must be able towork in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment while carrying out theirtasks in a timely and accurate manner.

Core Function:

Controlthe retrieval and submittal of documents, both internal and external, in atimely and accurate manner.

Archiveinactive documents in accordance with the records retention schedule.

Maintain a comprehensive filing system and computer databasefor all documents; while adhering to company’s standards and procedures.

Maintain current revisions of Data Books, Instruction & Operation Manuals, andTraining Manuals


Use computer systems to enter data, verify and processinformation, and enter requisitions when requested.

Core Function:

Assistin the development of standards, procedures, and forms, both new and current.                                                                                                                                                                                                             Core Function:                                                                                                                                                         

Establish relationship with ProjectEngineers and assist other departments as needed.

Core Function:

Performday-to-day tasks such as scanning, copying, printing, filing, and stamping;including any additional task requested by the Engineering department.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 1 year experience in Document Control or Administrative position. OR

         2.  Associate'sdegree and minimum of 3 years experience in Document Control or Administrativeposition
Preferred Qualifications

  1. Ability to operate standard office equipment.

  2. Ability to prioritize, manage time well, multi-task, and troubleshoot.

  3. Detail-oriented, team-oriented, dependable, and professional.

  4. Strong interpersonal communication skills to communicate with internal/external departments, managers, clients and vendors.

  5. Identify complex problems and review related information to develop creative solutions positively and professionally.

  6. Computer literate and well versed in Microsoft Office.

Knowledgein use of spreadsheets, databases, word processing and selected job specificsoftware is valuable.
