Customer Service Job Description

Primarily responsible for providing effective customer service by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as growing our customer base in order to meet or exceed monthly sales goals at the appropriate gross margin while increasing customer satisfaction

Customer Service Representative Job Duties:

  • Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns

  • Proactively offer product “solutions” or listen to their vision to be viewed as a valued resource to the customer

  • Attract potential customers via outbound calls by providing product and service information

  • Maintains customer records by updating account information.

  • Present price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customers’ profitability profiles

  • Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items

  • Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaint

  • Fill requests for catalogs, information or samples

  • Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction

  • Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the team

  • Support Field Sales Reps

  • May include some Social Media support

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
