Job Description

  • The Cost Managing Control Analyst analyzes the cost of engineered compressor systems and operational expenses against budget. Provide Reports based on cost data and input from multiple departments or disciplines.
  • Analyze engineering diagrams and documentations to prepare material cost estimates. 
  • Confer with engineers, designers on cost impact of design or construction changes.
  • Analyze and evaluate current cost status of on-going compressor engineering projects. 
  • Perform analytical review and arithmetic checks of cost reporting documentation.
  • Prepare graphs, diagrams, and other exhibits to illustrate cost status and forecast requirements for Project Management and Cost Management.
  • Initiate the cost activities according to the project execution schedules.
  • Participate in the development of the work breakdown structure, interfacing with Project Engineering, Design Engineering, Production Engineering, Technical Sales, Procurement, and Accounting Departments.
  • Influence project managers and team members to effectively use tools and processes.
  • Assist and participate in developing a Master Material cost database and update accordingly.

Job Requirements

  •  Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, business or related field, or demonstrated equivalent and related experience
  •   2 or more years of experience in engineering, operating industrial facilities in a cost control position, field experience preferred. 
  • Knowledge of math such as arithmetic, algebra, calculus, statistics and their application.
  • Knowledge of practical application of engineering science and technology
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and maintain effective cost control programs and schedule.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, interpersonal and team work skills
  • Self-motivated and attention to details. 
  • Ability to carry out multiple tasks at once.
  • Skills in analyzing and interpreting financial data.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent project cost presentation skills, especially with written reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and in-depth knowledge of Excel
