Complex Electromechancial Systems Test Technician

Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies associated with complex electronic or electro-mechanical systems. Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and final complex electronic or electro-mechanical  systems. May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment. Develops methods, processes, procedures and equipment that will improve the failure analysis process and/or reduce failures. May assist Test Engineering to design, develop, and implement cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. 

Job Requirements

Complex Electromechancial Systems Test Technician

  • Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative.  Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.
  • Works within a limited degree of supervision.  Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 2 - 4 years related experience.
