Accounting / Payroll Tax Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES 
• Calculate and file payroll taxes weekly, monthly, and quarterly for multiple states on a timely basis for multiple entities
• File payroll and unemployment taxes for multiple states on a timely basis for multiple entities
• Setup UI Accounts and Tax Withholding accounts to new states
• Prepare and enter journal entries including correcting entries, allocating expenditures and inter-company entries
• Assist with month-end close
• Assist CFO and Controller on a need to basis

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS 
• 3+ years of strong experience in processing payroll and filing payroll tax for multi-state
• Good Understanding of US GAAP and strong experience with GL, A/P, A/R
• Proficiency with Payroll/Accounting software such as Temps Plus, Avionte, Great Plains, CYMA, etc.
• Proficient in Excel and Word. Advanced Excel Skill a plus
• Past experience in working in staffing industry preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment

EDUCATION 
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university
