Job Description


Laser Operator – 2nd Shift (1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.) and 3rd Shift (9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.)  Training would be on our 1st shift (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) for the first few weeks.  I am in need of 3 candidates for this position.  Hourly rate range of $12-$14/hour depending on experience.


NOW HIRING MACHINE OPERATORS METAL MANUFACTURING COMPANY 
PLASMA OR METALS MACHINING IS PREFFERED


3.0 OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Laser machine operator is responsible for ensuring accurate and
timely cutting of specific products as required in a safe and timely manner.
4.0 MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
4.1 Load and unload the laser tables using the overhead crane with chains, suction or magnet.
4.2 Input proper program from the file server for each product using the control panel.
4.3 Check and replace laser torch nozzles to ensure clean cutting as needed.
4.4 Conduct Laser Head Alignment and Maintenance as needed
4.5 Remove cut product from table, stack on pallets and ensure timely delivery to the next department as
required.
4.6 Conduct first article, in-process and final inspection of all work orders.
4.7 Perform routine maintenance by blowing out filters regularly, blowing off debris from the machine with
the air hose; changing table slats as needed, wiping down the machine with the proper chemicals to
ensure a clean workspace.
4.8 Perform in a safe manner at all times while adhering to the Company safety policies. Wear PPE
(Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.

4.9 Perform other related duties as requested.
5.0 PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: To perform this job safely, an individual must wear safety
glasses, gloves, earplugs and steel-toed boots at all times. Additional personal protective equipment will be
provided as deemed appropriate.
6.0 EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School degree or equivalent and 1-2 years related experience
and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in the steel industry is
essential.
7.0 TRAINING: All operators will be trained in proper operation of their respective machines, overhead
cranes, forklifts, replacement of machine parts, proper loading and unloading of material and other
procedures as needed.
