Job Description

Seeking Lean Manufacturing Engineer for well established Logistics/Manufacturing Company in San Jose, CA

  • •        Identify improvement opportunities and coordinate/lead improvement team with a core focus on elimination of non-value added activates to help develop the lean culture.

  • •        Facilitate and lead activities such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Problem Solving, 6S, Kaizen events.

  • •       Coordinate data gather and reporting of key metrics for process improvement events with follow-up activates to ensure sustainment.

  • •        Facilitate and manage multiple projects.

  • •        Guide, coach and train team members on Lean implementation.

  • •        Create learning resources and develop employees on lean concepts and tools.  Develop/adapt training materials and presentation as needed.

  • •        100% hands on.

Job Requirements


  • •         Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, or related field

  • •         Minimum of 3-5 years of manufacturing experience

  • •         Experience in problem solving techniques and methodologies

  • •         Experience with material flow pull systems

  • •         Lean background with experience facilitating kaizen events, developing value stream maps at the organizational level, 6S, etc. (preferred).

  • •         Strong results orientation with passion for Lean and continuous improvement.

  • •         Proven track record of applying Lean methodologies.

  • •         Strong communication, facilitation, and training skills (prefer Bilingual).

  • •         Proven ability to lead change and motivate at all levels within the organization through the utilization of strong interpersonal communication skills.

  • •         Ability to prioritize and manage multiple task and deadlines.

  • •         Effective decision-making, problem solving and negotiating skills.

  • •         Ability to embrace a rapidly changing environment.

  • •         Strong analytical skills and understanding of problem solving tools/methods.

  • •         Excellent project management skills (facilitation, project planning, execution, organizing and administrative).

  • •         Project and change management experience.
