 Human Resources Manager in North Hollywood


The Manager, Human Resources, located in our North Hollywood, California office, is responsible for providing strategic planning, implementation, management and monitoring of all Human Resources programs and policies that align HR initiatives with business initiatives and strategies in support of the business.

Reporting to the GM-Client and dotted-line to the Group HR Vice President, this position will support the business needs by driving and executing human resource processes and programs with a hands-on, consultative approach that will deliver excellent organizational effectiveness in all facets of Human Resources. Partnering with the VP/GM-Client and leading a team of 2 professionals, the incumbent will provide overall HR direction and guidance across multiple plants and serve as a business partner to key operating directors.


Job responsibilities include:

●  Participate as a member of the business unit leadership team and serve as business partner with the Client business unit. Consult, plan, develop, and guide management in all areas of organization and human resources practices while anticipating and reacting to emerging business needs.

●  Set the human resources agenda for the Client organization in coordination and collaboration with the executive team by developing a keen understanding of the business units culture, business goals and strategies, and establishing and executing organizational initiatives in support of those strategies.

●  Manage core HR generalist functions, to include employee guidance, management consulting, compensation programs, recruitment, training, organizational development, benefits, workers compensation, and employment policies and programs. • Ensure HR processes and programs are meeting the needs of the business, providing management tools, and continuously evaluating trends and processes that can be incorporated into a business that is transforming into a highly technical business.

●  Direct HR team to ensure effective management of day-to-day tactical issue resolution. Strategically, will effectively work with other HR business partners and organizational leaders to develop and deliver innovative new policies and programs.

●  Direct administration of the Human Capital Plan for the business unit and facilitate the plan in partnership with the Business leaders.

●  Serve as an internal consultant to guide, train, and make recommendations to HR and organizational business partners in support of overall business initiatives. • Participate, recommend, and establish new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve the efficiency of the department and services performed.

●  Ensure effective reporting and analysis of HR data to enable the business to make key operational and strategic decisions.


Job requirements include: • Approximately 10-15 years of progressively broadening human resources assignments, with exposure to a number of functional areas, and specifically with up-to-date experience in employee relations, staffing/recruiting, training and development, and organizational development.

●  Possess good written/oral communications skills, as well as the ability to present his/her views in a clear and compelling manner. Positive can-do orientation. Able to deal effectively with broad range of personalities.

●  Demonstrated ability to drive change; and the ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities in a fast pace environment. Demonstrated project/team management capabilities that can meet aggressive deadlines.

●  Strong facilitation skills, conflict resolution, change leadership, coaching, mentoring, and project management skills.

●  Confidence in working with ambiguity and handling complexity

●  Highly proficient in Microsoft suite and HR systems knowledge/experience is a plus.

●  HR Certification or additional training a plus.
