Job Description

Final Assembly Inspector performs inspection and testing activities on completed switches and sub-assemblies to assess conformance of products to the design as defined by the engineering drawings, acceptance test procedures, and/or specifications. Interact with internal/ external customers and other departments. Must maintain accurate files & records and generates required reports.
Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize standard inspection devices or test equipment to set up, check and visually inspect production components;

• Perform acceptance test procedures to determine whether airborne and industrial products meet specifications as to dimensions, performance, mechanical, and electrical characteristics;

• Perform in-process inspections of assembly line processes such as: soldering, passivation, etc.;

• Perform first Article inspection releases, and prepare certificates of conformity;

• Perform Acceptable quality level testing on Mexico products as required;

• Understand engineering theory and interpretation of test results;

• Work with Final Assembly Leadsperson in establishing supportive documentation requirements and inspection criteria for final product acceptability;

• Perform tasks equal to or exceeding established standards;

• Accomplish production quotas;

• May provide technical assistance and training as required;

• Keep quality up to acceptable standards with little discrepant work

Job Requirements

Applicant must be ITAR compliant.

• Manual dexterity to safely and proficiently utilize precision measuring equipment;

• Responsible for maintaining quality of work per company’s specifications utilizing precision measuring equipment;

• Ability to acquire knowledge of all Final Testing procedures;

• Effective time management skills;

• Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English;

• Ability to react to changes productively and perform other essential tasks as assigned;

• Ability to work well with only a modest amount of repeated instructions;

• Conduct himself/herself in a business-like and civil manner;

• Be team oriented and possess flexibility and adaptability
