Job Description

Experienced General Laborer needed for a long term role for a major Public Utilities Company in Contra Costa County.

This is a facilities role that is responsible for all general clean up, indoor and outdoor- sweeping, pulling weeds, power washing filters and basins, hosing down facilities, painting pipes, moving furniture and /or equipment ( generally less than 50 lbs but on rare occasion could be heavier.) This position  also includes minor handyman type of work  - hanging pictures/plaques, installing or assembling shelving brackets. 

Job Requirements

Must have the following skills: 

  •  Ability to use basic hand tools, shovel, broom, power washer, large water hoses ( similar to a fire hose) and small hand power tools. 
  • General knowledge of the identification , use and operation of common hand and small hand power tools. 
  • Must read and understand English
  • Follow safety procedures and precautions
  • Must be available to work 4-5 days per week, hours 7:00 AM-3:30 PM with 1/2 hour lunch- working 2-3 days ion Concord and or at other site locations  in Brentwood and Oakley. Must provide own transportation.
