PAY: $20 to $25 per hour depending on experience and certification



Job Summary :

Under limited supervision, performs a variety of complex, but repetitive mechanical assembly operations. Works to verbal and written work instructions, such as, assembly drawings and sketches. Normally requires basic reading and writing ability and ability to learn precision assembly training. Also performs various types of welding, brazing, and cutting using gas and electric welding equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Uses imagination and creativity within the guidelines of the Bill of Material and Engineering drawings to assemble parts for the industries product line.

  • Safely operates Screw guns, Impact wrenches, Drill presses, Punch presses and an assortment of small to medium hand tools.

  • Reads, Interprets and understands Engineering drawings, sketches, work instructions and bills of materials.

  • Plans details of working procedure and tools and material requirements.

  • Fabricates equipment by cutting, drilling and welding various metals.

  • Repairs product by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment.

  • Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.

  • Alerts Supervisor of any critical part shortages.

  • Participates in the development of increased productivity and efficient processes

  • Works concurrently with other jobs in assembly and other departments so Industries products remain uniformly built.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Follows company policies regarding safety


Accountable for 100% accuracy of all assemblies. Accountable for initiative, willingness to learn and continuing to learn new product and methods. Accountable for a minimum scrap factor. Accountable for working safely.

Job Requirements

  • Must have knowledge of the basic use of small power tools and hand tools.

  • Must be mechanically inclined.

Education and/or Experience:

High school education; and or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple work instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Ability to read and interpret drawings and bills of material.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Reasoning ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to interpret and carry out detailed and involved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.

Learning Ability:

  • Possess willingness and the ability to learn.

  • Recognize common parts as Beltrac posts, Mechanisms, and bases.

  • Learn and understand materials such as Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel and Brass.

  • Posses the knowledge of tubing diameter by sight i.e.; 1 1/2in and 2in.

  • Ability to read, interpret and understand Bills of Material and work orders.

Certificates, Licenses, Registration:

Certified TIG welder (Preferred)
