We have a National Account looking for an Electronic Repair Tech.

Reporting to the Electronic Repair Supervisor for a well-known medical equipment company, the Repair Tech will perform the set-up, test and trouble shooting of system components and assemblies. They will work with Engineering and Test Operators to drive quality and efficiency within test operations.  Responsible for developing rood cause and corrective action for abnormal failure activity in a test environment.  This person will determine and may develop  and test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams, and should be able to debug down to component level.  There will be some preparation of technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.  May also assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.  

Job Requirements

Day to Day:

  • Work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature, but recognize the need for occasional deviation
  • Troubleshoot rejected analog and digital assemblies down to component level
  • Follow established procedures on routine work - ask for instruction only on new assignments
  • Read, understand and follow test process instructions (TPI's)
  • Perform production and field service returns testing and troubleshooting
  • Demonstrate ability to understand root cause analysis troubleshooting skills
  • Troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical instruments
  • General assembly and dis-assembly of electronic equipment using basic hand tools
  • Read and interpret schematics and drawings and perform modifications and rework to new and used sub-assemblies and systems
  • Be willing and available for OT work as needed

Additional Requirements:

5+ years manufacturing electronic test technician experience

Experience with Oscilloscopes, function generators, variable power supplies and digital multi-meters.
